This post – 2 day trip to Mysore from Bangalore – attempts to capture the splendour of Mysore and the historic town of Srirangapatna. Vishnu (@charitra.sanchari on Instagram), a history buff and I went on a short road trip to Tipu Sultan’s Srirangapatana and Mysuru.
I captured glimpses of the trip and put them together in the form of a video. This is one among the very few videos that I have published with narration. Vishnu narrated most of it, and he has tried to bring out the significant historic aspects of the places we visited.

The places we visited include Chamundi hills, Mysore palace, St. Philomena’s cathedral, Dariya Daulat palace (Tipu Sultan’s summer palace), Tipu Sultan’s burial place (Gumbaz), Jama masjid and the place where Tipu Sultan was killed. We stayed at the Quorum hotel in Mysore.
